GAUSSIAN project introduces Galileo OSNMA
and HAS services into urban air mobility.
We're working towards reliable and accurate navigation systems for electric flying vehicles (eVTOL). GAUSSIAN focuses on improving the security of UAM applications using EGNSS-powered PNT modules.
The project aligns with the European Commission's flight test recommendations for drone prototypes, planning demonstrations in Italy and Austria in the second half of the project.
GAUSSIAN's mission is to design, develop and showcase an integrated navigation platform tailored for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) applications which integrates distinguished features of Galileo.
GAUSSIAN focuses on improving the security of UAM applications using EGNSS-powered PNT modules. The project aims at demonstrating the effectiveness of Galileo E1 OSNMA signals and integrated GNSS/INS platforms in resisting spoofing and ensuring consistent PNT data. Leveraging Galileo's High Accuracy Service (HAS) PPP-RTK corrections, we target enhanced positioning accuracy.
